Chris Appel (Supply Chain & Quality Assurance) has worked in the Manufacturing and Quality sectors of the food industry for 45 years. He has extensive experience with a wide variety of products and processes and is a well regarded Quality Professional. Chris has worked for leading natural food companies such as Silk Soy Milk, Earth Balance, Evol, Udi's Gluten Free, Glutino and Epic. 

When Steve and Chris worked together on Silk - Chris used to always tell Steve "if you can find a way to sell it I will find a way to make it". And he always has.  

Bill Atchinson (Insights & Innovation) founded Growth Ventures in 1995 as a strategic consulting practice that specializes in services designed to deliver breakout growth performance for his clients. For over 20 years Growth Ventures has provided growth strategy, branding, and innovation services for a wide array of natural products clients, including Ben & Jerry’s, Celestial Seasonings, Hain, Ancient Harvest, Boulder Brands and KT Health. Bill has also developed a comprehensive “Health & Authenticity” growth strategy for a major food company. Bill has deep experience leading new product teams to build $100M brands.

Bill Hooper (Advisor) most recently was a member of the Board of Directors of Boulder Brands from its inception in 2007 until 2015. In addition, he served as senior marketing advisor to the Boulder Brands management team. Bill’s background has been primarily in advertising agency management and consulting with emphasis on consumer product brands. He played key roles in driving marketing strategy for Celestial Seasonings, Silk Soy Milk, Evol, Earth Balance, Udi's Gluten Free and Glutino. Bill currently serves on the board of Kodiak Cakes. 

Bill has been advising and mentoring Steve for 30 years. He is still trying to figure out how Steve keeps getting all the credit.

Carla Saunders (Costco Sales Advisor) has over 32 years experience with Costco, first working for Costco directly for 10 years and then spending 21 years with their (then) in-house broker.  Most recently, Carla lead the sales efforts with Costco for Boulder Brands.  Carla now focuses on strategically guiding small to mid-size manufacturers on navigating their development and success with Costco.
